PE Activity #15 - "Wall Ball"
OVERVIEW
Wall Ball is a fun and challenging game that improves hand-eye coordination and reaction time. The game involves throwing a ball against a wall and catching it before it bounces twice. Wall Ball can be played alone or with others and is a great activity for physical education classes.
EQUIPMENT
A ball, such as a tennis ball, racquetball, or handball
A wall with a flat surface and enough space to play
SETUP
Find a flat wall with enough space to play.
Draw a small line on the ground about 5-6 feet away from the wall.
Stand behind the line and face the wall.
Bounce the ball off the ground and then against the wall.
Catch the ball before it bounces twice and then throw it back against the wall.
INSTRUCTIONS
Stand behind the line and face the wall.
Bounce the ball off the ground and then against the wall.
Catch the ball before it bounces twice and then throw it back against the wall.
If you miss the ball or catch it after it has bounced twice, you are out.
Play continues until there is only one player left.
MAKE IT EASIER
Use a larger ball, such as a basketball or soccer ball.
Allow players to catch the ball after it bounces twice.
MAKE IT HARDER
Stand farther away from the wall.
Increase the speed of the ball by throwing it harder or using a smaller ball.
