PE Activity #31 - "Circuit Circus"

Overview:

Circuit training is a full-body workout that consists of a series of exercises performed in succession with short rest periods in between. It's a fun way to improve cardiovascular endurance, strength, and agility.

Equipment:

Cones, exercise equipment (dumbbells, resistance bands, etc.), stopwatches. Setup: Set up stations with different exercises and assign each student to a station. Students will rotate through each station and perform the designated exercise for a set amount of time (e.g., 30 seconds) before moving on to the next station.

Instructions:

Students should be instructed to perform each exercise with proper form and to work at their own pace. Encourage students to challenge themselves by increasing the intensity of each exercise (e.g., increasing the weight of the dumbbell or resistance band).

Making easier:

Provide modifications for students who may need them, such as lighter weights or lower-intensity exercises.

Making harder:

Increase the duration or number of sets of each exercise or add more challenging exercises to the circuit.
