Objective:
Students will engage in Olympics-style sports to develop fitness and teamwork!
Materials Needed:
- Equipment/facilities for: - Basketball 
- Volleyball 
- Soccer 
- Handball 
- 110m sprint 
 
Duration: 90 minutes or 5 successive lessons (You can all 5 sports in one lesson or focus on 1 sport per week for 5 weeks)
Warm-Up (10 minutes):
- Begin with a light cardiovascular warm-up to prepare the students' bodies for physical activity. Eg: lap of the oval or tiggy 
- Incorporate dynamic stretches focusing on the shoulders, arms, legs, and core muscles, emphasizing flexibility and mobility. 
Mini Olympics Competition:
- Game 1: Basketball (5 v 5, rotate subs) Objective: Score points by shooting the ball through the opponent's hoop. 
- Game 2: Volleyball (6 v 6, rotate subs) Objective: Score points by grounding the ball on the opponent's side. 
- Game 3: Soccer (11 v 11 outdoors or 6 v 6 indoors, rotate subs) Objective: Score goals by getting the ball into the opponent's net. 
- Game 4: Handball (7 v 7, rotate subs) Objective: Score goals by throwing the ball into the opponent's net. 
- Game 5: 100m Sprint Objective: Be the first to cross the finish line after sprinting 100 meters. 
Cool Down and Reflection (5 minutes):
- Lead the class through a series of static stretches focusing on the major muscle groups used. 
- Allow students to share their thoughts and experiences from the lesson. 
- Add up scores and congratulate winners! Get students to nominate people who showed excellent effort, sportsmanship, skills and leadership. 
Conclusion: This is a great way to help students have fun, get active and experience several Olympic sports!
